Mission
Communities in Harmony Advocating for Learning and Kids, or CHALK, is a San Francisco project providing a range of youth services with a specific focus on transformative youth development and employment.
CHALK Purpose

The purpose of all of CHALK's programs is to provide information, resources and support to youth and their allies. CHALK is unique because the providers are youth.

CHALK IS HIRING
CHALK is hiring two positions: CHALK Outreach Worker and Youthline Information and Support Specialist. Work 8-20 hours/week on a flexible schedule that includes some nights, weekends, and holidays. Click here to download the applications.

CHALK Employs Youth with Significant Needs
  • 95% are low income
  • 95% are youth of color
  • 90% are from drug infested and violent neighborhoods
  • 80% are at risk of academic failure
  • 30% are on probation
  • 20% are LGBTQQI youth
  • 10% are teen parents

Doris is a wonderful person to have on the yfyi staff and at CHALK. She comes in with a smile on her face and enjoys helping her projects succeed. She is a great program officer and we appreciate her contributing to CHALK's mission.
